Facilitator for novel group-based programs - remote, part-time
About us
Our mission is to help people improve their lives profoundly, with immersive, empowering, and exceptional support that meets them where they are. We do this in the here and now of life – supported by community that fosters growth and connection.
It’s never been easier to find support for our wellbeing, but the right support – in-depth, tailored to individuals, backed by structured evidence-based protocols and cross-disciplinary research, and designed for optimal progress – is complex and hard to find. Meanwhile practitioners struggle with systemic barriers and much of the tremendous research in the field remains hard to apply efficiently in mainstream settings.
We’re a bootstrapped mission-driven startup that’s trying to change this by building programs for exceptional support – not with ‘tech-enablement’ or AI slapped on the status quo – but designed ground-up for support as it should be, and an experience that people love and trust. Our early focus includes group based programs and issues that the system wasn’t designed for e.g., ones that affect women differentially.
Our first solution is a group-based program for work related issues. We plan to eventually expand to relationships, health and life broadly, and 1:1 and hybrid models. Our early focus includes issues that affect women differentially, but is not exclusively limited to them.
I’m Subarna, the founder. This work is inspired by my lived experiences, journeys of loved ones, practitioners I’ve worked with, and the game changing primary care and behavioral health solutions I’ve built with them, some of which have helped millions. I’ve seen how transformative support can be when it’s meaningfully designed, and I want such support to be the status quo. P.S - the em dashes are all me, not AI :)
Who we're looking for
You’ll facilitate our group-based program to help people transcend “difficult” or toxic situations at work and run virtual group sessions working closely with the founder.
Experience with work related issues is helpful but not essential. Some experience with groups is required. This is a great fit for someone who cares about impact and creative high quality work, and is also comfortable with rolling up their sleeves.
This role could eventually expand to – new programs, operations, partnerships, building a global community of practitioners, and influencing the broader ecosystem – etc.
This is a unique opportunity if you want to build something from inception and shift the paradigm of mental health by playing the long game.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to talk:
- You’re a Master’s or Doctoral-level therapist with valid licensure, ideally licensed to practice in California but if not don’t let that stop you from applying.
- You have experience in group therapy. You love running groups, understand their nuances and care deeply about realizing their full potential. You can put people at ease and help them engage meaningfully in virtual group sessions.
- You practice evidence-based modalities with an integrative approach, stay current with research, and are energized by new ways to help people. Ideally, you bring expertise in trauma-specific, gender-responsive, neuro-affirming and culturally responsive care.
- You’re proficient in delivering virtual support for groups and individuals, and comfortable with Zoom, Google Workspace and commonly used digital tools.
- You want to change the status quo and build a better system for clients and practitioners, and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves for the unglamorous but necessary details.
- You’re organized and reliable. You have high standards, execute hands-on with ownership, and can give and receive constructive feedback.
- You’ve brought ideas to life in early stage environments, or are interested in it. You’re comfortable working from first principles, testing hypotheses and learning iteratively. You can be flexible, agile, and pragmatic while also staying responsible.
Bonus points if you’ve set up or run a group practice, or have worked with payers
